I am Regan Connaire, 2018 graduate of Salisbury University, with a degree in Journalism and Public Relations and minors in both art and environmental studies.
Currently I serve as the Social Media Coordinator for the Philadelphia Fusion, a professional esports team in the Overwatch League. This position has been both incredibly challenging and rewarding, and has proven to me that I am dedicated to continuing to grow my abilities to shape and grow a brand’s image. I wore many hats, from maintaining a content calendar, to aiding in production of branded content (both live and post-produced pieces) Fusion has been a launching pad for my career in social media and esports. Recently I was even featured by the Game*HERS in a career spotlight to highlight my role as a woman in the gaming space.
Previous to this, I was employed at the Kent County Chamber of Commerce part-time as the Marketing and Communications Specialist, a position which allowed me to grow and flourish as a communicator through individual projects including the Chamber’s first-ever Business Spotlights, and video highlighting the businesses here at home in Kent County, Maryland.
In addition to this, I also spend my weekends as the Content Coordinator for the esports job site, HitmarkerJobs.com! In this role, I collected and posted a wide variety of gaming or esports jobs from across the world on their platform to help job seekers find their place in the gaming industry! It was up to me to have the brand be incredibly active on Twitter, where I planned and schedule up to 36 tweets a day promoting jobs, all the while interacting with users and giving advice or sharing a friendly meme with job hunters!
I am actively seeking full-time employment, and am an avid learner. It is my goal, and dream, to pursue a job developing and maintaining a brand’s social media identity so I might blend together my education, skills, and passion for community building I would love the opportunity to further grow my skills and education, especially in a setting that challenges me.
